COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY PROCEDURES

Updated: Apr 28, 2021

(updated continuously here)

Protecting our Clients and Staff

We have implemented a few new procedures (mask wearing, hand sanitizer at the crag) as well as reiterated the importance of old procedures (cleaning gear) to help keep our clients and staff safe and reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19.

Masks:

  • It may not always be possible to socially distance while on a climbing trip. Based on the current guidance available, a separation distance of 6 feet is considered to be the minimum distance to maintain between others. When 6 feet separation cannot be maintained, both guides and clients shall wear face coverings.

  • You may be required to wear a mask at the base of a crag, at belay stances, and on the hike to the climbing area. We also ask that you wear a face covering when meeting your guide, signing waivers, and trying on gear.

Health Procedures

  • At the beginning of your trip, there will be a COVID-19 health screening.

  • Our guides will have a "hand washing" station (water and biodegradable soap) with them for your use when facilities are not available.

  • We encourage you to not touch your face, practice good hygiene, and not put climbing gear in your mouth.

  • Nitrile gloves will be used when both guides and clients need to handle/pass items back and forth (e.g. waivers, pens, equipment)

  • Routine gear cleaning will be continued and monitored closely (cleaning and sanitization of ropes, harnesses, helmets, shoes, and other gear used).

Thanks for sticking with us during this trying time!
